Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of industrial dioctyl phthalate. This standard applies to dioctyl phthalate obtained by esterification of phthalic anhydride and octanol (2-ethylhexanol). It is mainly used in industries such as plastics, rubber, paints and emulsifiers.
