- Scope
- This standard specifies the frequency and allowable value of biotoxicity tests in different sea areas for some pollutants used or produced in offshore oil exploration and development operations and discharged into the ocean, and puts forward requirements for sample test methods and result judgments. This standard applies to the biological toxicity test of drilling mud, drilling cuttings and production water used in offshore oil exploration and development operations or discharged into the ocean after being generated. The biological toxicity classification stipulated in this standard is also applicable to the biological toxicity classification of other offshore oil exploration and development pollutants outside the limits of this standard after appropriate adjustment of the tolerance value of toxicity.
