Scope: This standard specifies the 7:24 taper dimensions for spindle ends and tool holders and devices for manual tool changes. This standard also specifies the outer diameter of the flange of these holders and devices, and the position of that face relative to the cone when coupled by the front face of the flange. Note 1 There are two grooves on the periphery of the flange, and the two end keys installed on the machine tool spindle are inserted into it to transmit the rotational movement of the spindle to the tool device. 2 The connection between the tool handle and the end of the spindle can be realized by the traditional method of clamping behind the fastening screw at the end of the tool handle, or by clamping the locking device installed on the machine tool spindle in front of the flange. Load the tool or device onto the spindle. Only in the latter case is it necessary to precisely specify the position of the front face of the flange relative to the measuring plane of the cone with the basic diameter D1. This standard is applicable to various types of machine tools and devices in which the end of the spindle and the corresponding tool holder are connected by a 7:24 taper. The cone size of the automatic tool changer holder is specified in GB/T 10944.
