- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for determining the surface tension of latex by the ring method. This standard applies to latex with viscosity less than 200mPa.s. For this purpose, the latex should be diluted with water to give a total solids content of 40% (m/m). If necessary, the total solids content should be further reduced to ensure that the viscosity is within the specified value. This method is also applicable to prevulcanized latex and compound latex.
