Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for electric shock protection for personnel when electric vehicles are not connected to an external power supply. The requirements for connecting an electric vehicle to an external power supply are specified in GB/T 18487.2. This standard applies to electric passenger vehicles whose maximum working voltage of the on-board circuit is lower than 660V (AC) or 1000V (DC) (according to the regulations of GB 156) and electric commercial vehicles whose maximum design gross mass does not exceed 3500kg. Electric vehicles with a maximum design total mass of more than 3,500kg can be implemented by reference. This standard is not applicable to guide the assembly, maintenance and repair of electric vehicles.
