This standard specifies the safety requirements for the on-board energy storage device of the electric vehicle drive system, so as to ensure the safety of users and the surrounding environment of the vehicle. This standard applies to electric passenger vehicles whose maximum working voltage of the on-board circuit is lower than 660V (AC) or 1000V (DC) (according to the regulations of GB 156) and electric commercial vehicles whose maximum design gross mass does not exceed 3500kg. Electric vehicles with a maximum design total mass of more than 3,500kg can be implemented by reference. This standard is not applicable to guide the assembly, maintenance and repair of electric vehicles.
