Scope

This standard applies to building AC electrical installations with a power supply frequency of 60Hz and below and a nominal voltage of 1000V and below, and building DC electrical installations with a power supply nominal voltage of 1500V and below. The specified voltage zones are mainly used in conjunction with some regulations for installations, but can also be used when establishing requirements for electrical equipment.
