Scope

This standard specifies test methods for dental rotary instruments (hereinafter referred to as "rotary instruments"), such as dental bars, technical carbide cutting instruments, diamond grinding instruments, and technical abrasion grinding instruments. However, root canal treatment tools are excluded.
