Scope

This standard specifies matters common to analytical methods for iron and steel and nickel-chromium iron alloys. Note that iron in this standard refers to pig iron, cast iron, etc., and steel refers to carbon steel, low alloy steel, high alloy steel (including stainless steel), etc.
