Scope

This standard covers delayed operation or instantaneous operation of switchgear and control equipment intended for control, signals, interlocks, etc. at a rated voltage of 1000Va.c. or less (at a frequency not exceeding 1000Hz) or 600V DC or less. Applies to electromagnetically operated control switches, e.g. contactor type relays and starter auxiliary contacts.
