This section applies to graphical symbols for the following purposes:
——identifying equipment or its components (such as controllers or displays);
——indicating functional status or functions (such as on, off, alarm);
——marking connections (such as terminals, connector);
——Provide packaging information (such as packaging identification, loading and unloading instructions);
——Provide operating instructions for the equipment (such as usage restrictions). This section does not apply to prototype symbols for the following purposes:
——safety markings;
——drawings and diagrams;
——product technical documents;
——public information.
