Scope

This standard specifies methods for the measurement and evaluation of gaseous and particulate emissions from reciprocating internal combustion engines under steady-state conditions on a test bench, and assigns one weight to each exhaust pollutant. It is necessary to determine the value. Different combinations of engine loads and rotational speeds reflect different engine applications (see JIS B 8008-4).
