Scope: This standard specifies the verification technical requirements and verification methods for two-component gasoline vehicle exhaust analyzers and four-component gasoline vehicle exhaust analyzers (hereinafter referred to as instruments). The two-component gasoline vehicle analyzer uses the principle of non-spectral infrared to detect the CO and HC components in the exhaust gas of gasoline vehicles. The four-component gasoline vehicle analyzer uses the principle of non-spectral infrared to detect CO, HC, CO₂ components in gasoline vehicle exhaust, and uses electrochemical principles to detect O₂ components in gasoline vehicle exhaust . This standard applies to the verification of gasoline vehicle exhaust gas analyzers for motor vehicle safety testing.
