This standard specifies a method for determining the color fastness of various types of textiles, including textile carpets and other velvet fabrics, to rubbing and staining with other materials. This standard applies to all kinds of textiles made of yarn or fabric, including dyed or printed textile carpets. Two tests need to be performed, one with a dry rubbing cloth and one with a wet rubbing cloth.
