Scope

This standard specifies methods for determining the solid gum content of motor gasoline, aviation fuel oil (aviation turbine fuel oil and aviation gasoline) and other volatile distillate oils. It also specifies the procedure for measuring unwashed gum in motor vehicle gasoline.
