This specification covers one grade of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin in the form of film, normally produced by skiving. This film has been used typically for gaskets and other parts for use up to 260 degrees C (500 degrees F) where chemical resistance or anti-stick characteristics are required but where high mechanical or electrical characteristics are not important, but usage is not limited to such applications.
