These requirements cover electrically operated smoke detector monitors used in ordinary indoor locations per the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70; the Life Safety Code, NFPA 101; and Ch. 2 of the National Fire Alarm Code, NFPA 72. The monitor provides for the connection and supervision of initiating circuits that are connected to smoke detectors. It provides alarm or trouble indications at an attended monitoring location to supplement the signal indication at the location of the smoke detector.
