Scope

This standard specifies the diagnostic criteria and treatment principles for acute radiation sickness from external exposure. This standard applies to radiation workers who have received large doses of external exposure after accident exposure and emergency exposure. Patients with acute radiation sickness after exposure to medical exposure and nuclear war can also be diagnosed and treated with reference to this standard.
