Scope

This standard is intended to obtain representative analytical samples for physical analysis methods such as X-ray fluorescence analysis and emission spectroscopy, dry methods for carbon and sulfur analysis, or chemical analysis methods for other components. Specifies the method for sampling ferronickel in the form of an ingot, piece, or grain, or the method for sampling ferronickel from molten metal.
