Scope

This standard specifies a method for measuring the fiber concentration in a gas stream in a duct, chimney or flue of a manufacturing process using asbestos, using fiber counting techniques. This method is used to determine the fiber number concentration in a wide range of processes in which ``regulated'' fibers are known to occur in a source. It cannot be distinguished and identified.
