Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the air sound isolation performance of walls, floors, doors, etc. between two rooms in a building under diffuse sound field conditions. The volume of the target room shall be 300 m or less. The airborne sound isolation performance measured by this standard generally varies with frequency. When evaluating this using a single numerical evaluation quantity, use the method specified in JIS A 1419-1.
