Scope
This standard specifies the following five aspects: chemical land preparation before transplantation (a), young forest tending (planting or natural regeneration) (b), forest stand improvement (c), prevention of regeneration of non-purpose stumps (d), and thinning (e). Objective To study the methods and basic requirements of field trials of herbicide efficacy in controlling weeds in forestry. This standard is applicable to all important tree species in herbicide control forestry, such as Acer, Alder, Betula, Hornbeam, Aquaphytum, Ash, Quercus, Salix, and fir, larch, cloud Field plot test and efficacy evaluation of weeds in coniferous species such as Chinese fir, pine, and Douglas genus. Other field efficacy tests shall be carried out with reference to this standard.
