Scope

This standard specifies methods for quantifying the silica content of fluorite for use in hydrofluoric acid using molybdenum blue spectrophotometry and X-ray fluorescence analysis. The fluorescent X-ray analysis method is specified in Annex 1 (normative). This method applies to products containing 0.05-4.0% silica (SiO).
