Scope

This standard specifies a method for quantifying the concentrations of phenols shown in Table 1 between 0.1 μg/l and 1 mg/l. The concentration range depends on the nature of the phenols being measured and the gas chromatography method used. Other monohydric phenols can also be analyzed following the steps in this method, but the suitability of this method should be considered on a case-by-case basis.
