Scope

The document presented in form of a guideline contains terms and definitions (trilingual) for the treatment and disposal of sludge from: storm water handling, night soil, urban wastewater treatment plants, treating industrial wastewater similar to urban wastewater (as defined in Directive 91/271/EWG), water supply treatment plants, water distribution systems, but excluding hazardous sludges from industry.
