Scope

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for vented, electrically heated single-chamber ovens (with or without forced air circulation) for the evaluation of the heat resistance of electrical insulation. It also specifies the acceptance tests and in-service control tests for aging ovens. This standard applies to ovens operating within the entire or partial range of 20°C above this environment up to 500°C. NOTE: Specifications for multi-chamber ovens are under consideration.
