Scope

This standard specifies the general terms, definitions and design features of ladders. These have important implications for ladder safety, handling and the compilation of manufacturing and use information. This standard is applicable to portable ladders, not to professional ladders, such as fire-fighting ladders, mobile ladders, etc. The various designed ladders can bear a maximum vertical static load of 1500N in the working position.
