- This standard specifies the graphical representation of the complex modulus of viscoelastic damping materials. This method is suitable for macroscopically homogeneous linear and thermorheologically simple viscoelastic damping materials. Its complex modulus can be shear modulus, Young's modulus, bulk modulus, longitudinal wave propagation modulus or Lame modulus. This graphical method is suitable for most viscoelastic damping materials with sufficient accuracy. This standard also gives recommended terms, including: parameters, symbols and definitions. The main purpose of this standard is to improve communication between various technical fields dealing with viscoelastic damping materials.
