Scope

This standard is one of a series of standards dealing with the sampling and testing of paints, varnishes and related products. This standard is also applicable to paint and varnish binders. This standard specifies methods for measuring heating residues based on mass in paints and varnishes, as well as resins and resin solutions used as binders for paints and varnishes.
