- This standard specifies the technical requirements for male condoms manufactured with natural rubber latex, supplied in consumer packaging, and designed to achieve contraceptive purposes and help prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. This standard does not include the technical requirements for the tensile performance of condoms. If the tensile performance test is required, it can be carried out according to GB/T 7544.9. Note that condoms are mass-produced commodities, there are bound to be some individual differences, and each production cycle will contain a small part of waste products. In case of dispute, the information on the quality certification and sampling scheme of condoms can be used , can also be evaluated according to the specifications of a batch of condoms or according to Appendix A of this standard. The performance test of purchased and stored condoms shall be in accordance with Appendix B. Storage recommendations for packaged condoms are in accordance with Appendix C.
