This standard specifies the method for inspecting internal defects of copper alloy rods (mainly shrinkage, residue, cracks, slag inclusions, inclusions and pores, etc.) using ultrasonic pulse reflection technology, including inspection devices, general requirements, operating procedures, flaw detection Judgment of results and requirements for flaw detectors, etc. This standard applies to ultrasonic flaw detection of square or hexagonal copper alloy rods with a diameter of φ15-220mm and an inscribed circle with a diameter of φ35mm or more. Bars shall be formed by extrusion, hot rolling, cold drawing or cold rolling. There should be no loose oxide layer or other dirt on the surface. The flaw detection method stipulated in this standard can be the contact method or the liquid immersion method.
