Scope

This standard specifies pneumatic remote shutoff devices (hereinafter referred to as devices) for use in emergency shutoff valves for marine fuel oil tanks and lubricating oil tanks. The range of equipment defined in this standard is from the engine room air source to the air sump, through the air sump and operating equipment, to the closed air line to the fuel oil tank or lubricating oil tank emergency shut-off valve.
