Scope

This standard applies to flat connectors that combine a mail tab with a hole or dimple detent and a flat connector terminal. For safety reasons, this standard shall not apply to flat connectors beyond the scope of this standard. This standard also specifies uniform requirements regarding dimensions, performance, test plans, etc.
