This standard specifies the non-destructive analysis and measurement method for the composition of gold and gold alloy single-layer uniform coatings on the surface of gold-plated products using scanning electron microscope X-ray energy spectrometer (including electron probe instrument equipped with X-ray energy spectrometer). This standard is applicable to surface gold plating and gold alloy, and the thickness of the coating is above 0.2 μm and below 3 μm for composition measurement (excluding the measurement of the composition of the coating that is similar to the substrate and the gold coating material).
