Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the bulk density of metal powders using a vibrating funnel. This method is suitable for metal powders that cannot freely flow through the funnel with a hole diameter of 5mm in the funnel method. This standard does not apply to metal powders that are easily broken during vibration, such as agglomerated particles, fibrous and needle-shaped powders. The method for determining the bulk density of powders containing such particles is specified in GB/T5060.
