This standard is the safety requirements for small wind turbines (SWTGS) (hereinafter referred to as the unit), which involves safety principles, quality assurance, engineering integrity and specific requirements, including design, installation, maintenance and operation under specific external conditions, Its purpose is to establish an appropriate level of protection to prevent accidents and damage to the unit during its planned lifetime. This standard also covers various auxiliary systems of the unit, such as protective mechanisms, internal electrical systems, mechanical systems, support structures, foundations and electrical and load connections. This standard applies to units with a sweeping area of less than 40m2 and a voltage lower than 1000V (a·c.) or 1500V(d·c.). This standard should be used in conjunction with relevant national standards, IEC and ISO standards (see 1.2).
