- This International Standard provides information for compiling and completing an SDS. It specifies, inter alia: The generic form of the SDS. 16 prescribed headings. The number and sequence of the 16 prescribed headings. A copy of the items in the SDS and their conditions of application or use is required. This part of the standard neither prescribes a fixed format nor contains an actual SDS to fill in.
