- This standard stipulates that the reduction silicomomolybdate spectrophotometry is a general method for the determination of silicon in chemical products. This standard provides a method for the determination of silicon content in solutions. The preparation of the test solution for the product to be analyzed should refer to the relevant standards. Modifications should be made as necessary to adapt the method to the product being analyzed. This method is suitable for determining the content of SiO2 in the test solution is 2-200μg. Appendix A gives the limits for various ions, elements and compounds that do not interfere with the determination when they exist alone. In specific cases, this table also gives the treatment methods to reduce or suppress the interference.
