Scope

This standard specifies that flammable gases or vapors of combustible liquids (hereinafter referred to as explosive gases) may be present in the air in ships and offshore structures at concentrations that may cause ignition or explosion. Specifies explosion-proof battery-operated portable electric lamps (hereinafter referred to as lamps) used in locations.
