Scope: This standard specifies the tooth type, diameter and pitch series, tolerance, screwing length, technical requirements, assembly torque and marking of interference fit thread. This standard applies to steel double-ended studs with an interference fit in the pitch diameter of the thread, and the internal thread body materials that match it are aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, titanium alloy and steel. See Appendix A (standard appendix) for the interference thread tolerances of non-ferrous metal studs screwed into aluminum and magnesium alloy bodies.
