Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining dissolved sodium and potassium using the flame luminescence method. This standard is intended for analyzing raw water. This standard is applicable to water samples with sodium and potassium up to 10 mg/l. For samples containing higher concentrations of sodium and potassium, a smaller amount of sample should be submitted for analysis. The lower limit of quantification is less than 0.1 mg/l for both sodium and potassium.
