- This standard specifies the method for the determination of residual acrylonitrile in acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer (AS) and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS) by headspace gas chromatography (HP-GC). This standard applies to the determination of residual acrylonitrile monomers in acrylonitrile-styrene and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resins and their molded products, and also applies to rubber-modified acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resins And the determination of residual acrylonitrile monomer in molded products. The minimum detection amount of this method: nitrogen-phosphorus detector method (NPD) is 0.5mg/kg; hydrogen flame detector method (FID) is 2.0mg/kg.
