- This International Standard specifies the method for the evaluation panel to sensory determine whether there is a difference between two samples. This difference may be related to a particular sensory attribute or to a group of sensory attributes. This standard is not suitable for preference test, nor is it suitable for characteristic evaluation or sensory difference test. This standard describes two inspection techniques. -- control-reference technique; -- constant-reference technique.
