- This standard specifies the sanitary protection distance requirements between coal gas plants and residential areas. This standard applies to new coal-to-gas plants located in plains and micro-hill areas and new construction, reconstruction and expansion projects of existing coal-to-gas plants (including gas pressure regulating stations and storage depots). Existing coal-to-gas plants can be implemented as a reference. The sanitary protection distance of coal-to-gas plants located under complex conditions should be determined by the main departments of the construction unit and the health, Determined by the environmental protection department.
