Scope

This standard specifies the type test requirements for newly manufactured time switches for indoor use and with a working reserve. Its time switch is used for the control of electric loads, tariff meters and maximum demand indicators on specified days and times throughout the year. These time switches can work in various forms (including electronically). This standard does not apply to time switches that are remotely controlled or synchronized with radio frequency.
