- This standard specifies the minimum entry dimensions for earth-moving machinery defined in GB8498-87, including: a) entry dimensions for hands; b) entry dimensions for heads; c) entry dimensions for bodies; d) entry dimensions for arms; e) hands entrance size. This standard provides a basis for engineering technicians and designers to make the entrances for inspection, adjustment and maintenance on mechanical equipment have sufficient dimensions so that they can complete the specified work in the field or in the factory.
