This standard specifies the method for measuring the absolute vapor pressure of volatile crude oils and volatile non-viscous fuel oils using the Reid method. However, this does not apply to fuel oils containing oxygen-containing compounds (such as alcohols that are easily soluble in water) other than methylbutyl ether (hereinafter referred to as MTBE).
