Scope
This standard specifies the characteristics of the following types of low-power magnifying glasses and recommends their selection for surface inspection. ——Single lens magnifying glass with typical magnification of 4 times (Type A). ~Multi-lens magnifying glass, typical magnification up to 10 times (type B). ——Dual-system magnifiers, with a typical magnification of 15 times (type C), are of the following two types: a) Binoculars. Usually with long working distance (type c.1); b) Binoculars, equipped with fine adjustment or other accessories for stereoscopic observation (type c.2). - Concave lens magnifying glass, equipped with a front surface reflector, Typical magnification is 6 times (type D). 1.2 This standard does not cover:  ——small magnifying glasses and glasses worn by watchmakers in the eye sockets;  ——single lenses or lens holders that can be placed on the surface of the object being inspected. Lens magnifiers, spherical or cylindrical lens magnifiers (including magnifiers equipped with various graduated scales for measurement);  ——Liquid-containing, plastic lens liquid bags;  ——Magnifying glasses for internal surface inspection.
