This standard specifies area monitors (hereinafter referred to as monitors) for continuously monitoring the 1 cm dose equivalent rate of X-rays and gamma rays in the working environment inside buildings of nuclear facilities and radiation utilization facilities. However, this does not apply to monitors used for pulse-shaped radiation.
