Scope

This standard specifies the manufacturing method, surface characteristics, sample classification, roughness parameter value and its evaluation method of cast metal and alloy surface roughness comparison samples. This standard applies to casting surface roughness comparison samples. This sample is to be compared with cast metals and alloys and cast surfaces that have been properly cleaned by appropriate methods (eg, shot blasting, grit blasting, tumbling, drum cleaning, etc.) of the cast metals and alloys and casting methods that he has characterized. It also serves as a reference for the selection of other specific casting processes and casting surface roughness.
